The boys have been at a training course this week – Trianco air source heat pumps. Everyone returned smiling so even though it was a long drive to Sheffield and back it was well worth the day in the class room. We have been interested in this technology for a while and the Trianco product does not dissapoint.
The heat pump unit is about the size of a washing machine that can sit out in the garden it sucks in large quantities of air and uses the ambient temperature to heat your water and home. The motor powered by electricity supplies more energy than it consumes when it extracts heat from the surrounding air. For every unit of energy purchased as electricity, several units of heat are delivered, making it up to four times more effective.
What a treat no more gas bill, if it was not for the fact that we only put in a new combi boiler 2 years ago I would ask him to fit one of these straight away.
